Heat exchanger refers to the device transferring heat from hot fluid to cold fluid so as to meet specific technique requirement, which is an industrial application of convective heat transfer and heat transmission. Several approaches can be used for classification of heat exchangers, including the classification by action principles, purposes, materials, etc. As heat transfer equipment, heat exchangers are widely used in industries, especially for those fields with huge energy consumption, and contain increasingly more varieties with the rapid development of energy-saving technology.
In 2010, Chinese heat exchanger industry realized the market scale of CNY 50 billion, mainly concentrating in the petroleum, petrochemical, metallurgy, power, shipping, district heating, refrigeration and air conditioning, machinery, food and pharmaceutical industries, among which the petroleum and petrochemical industries, the two largest markets of Chinese heat exchanger industry enjoyed the market scale of over CNY 14 billion, and the heat exchanger market for the shipping industry had the scale of over CNY 4 billion.
Chinese heat exchanger industry mainly concentrates in Northeast China, Northwest China, North China and East China, among which Northeast China serves as the Chinese largest heat exchanger industrial base. In particular, Siping of Jilin shows obvious strength in the plate heat exchanger market for the district heating, steel and power industries.
Currently, world's major famous heat exchanger enterprises have all basically finished the layout in China, and set up production bases in China, some of which have even established several production bases in East China and North China.
With the acceleration of Chinese industrialization and urbanization and the economic growth in developing countries, demand for heat exchangers in the export market will be on the increase. As for the demand of domestic market, Chinese national economy will maintain high-speed development stimulated by a large number of fixed assets investment plans issued by the Chinese government from 2009. Steady growth is still remained in the petrochemical, energy power and environmental protection industries, and large ethylene project and large power source construction will give a huge impetus to the increase in demand for the heat exchanger industry.
Seen from product structure, since the petrochemical, food, medical and seawater desalination industry place special requirements for the materials of heat exchangers, and heat exchangers made of special materials enjoy huge profit margins, these heat exchangers will win more market shares in the future, and the high prices of the products will further expand the market scale.
It is predicted that Chinese heat exchanger market scale will maintain the annual growth rate of over 10% in 2011-2025, and will break through CNY 90 billion in 2015.
